Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th of 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of life through her vivid and far-ranging imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she was able to read and write. When she was 8years old, she purchased her first electric guitar. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. She recorded her first album within the same calendar year Gold Band Records, a small label that was an independent. In high school she was able to establish herself within the school community but her ambition was bigger. After she finished her high school, in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner began looking for female singers to join his syndicated television program at around the exact as the time. Parton joined Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed with RCA Records. It was not until 1974 that she opted to walk away from Wagoner's band because the popularity of her individual records including Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene was outstripping their joint efforts. After their split, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it reached the top spot at No. 1 for the first time in 1974.
