Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer who is regarded as being a part of the group One Direction. He is the father of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on February 1, 1994, in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where along with three fellow students, he founded his musical group, White Eskimo. Following their victory in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to a stellar performance, they also participated in the Battle of Bands 2010. Even though he had always been interested in the world of music however, despite his love for it he wanted also to pursue a career as a lawyer and physical therapist. When he worked in the city's pastry shop Harry Styles managed to feed his family. The year was 2010. Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The reason for this was the band split up. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be a part of a brand new group, One Direction. The other group members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group and they were formed in 2010. The band performed songs such as My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. The group was one of the contenders for the prize. The group was placed in third place after Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle, who were the winners. Harry Styles' group didn't place, but Cowell still paid $2 million in cash to One Direction for them to agree to a contract with Syco.
